Title – Capturing the Emerging markets: Leading Its Next Phase of Growth for Lenovo

Client – LENOVO,  World’s second largest PC vendor by volume with 26,000 employees in over 60 countries

Objective – Understanding the implementation of “Protect & Attack” strategy of Lenovo and the successful integration of large acquisitions like IBM’s PC division. The project included analysis of marketing campaigns and “Protect & Attack” strategy of Lenovo in four key emerging markets of China, Russia, India and Mexico to identify best practices and cultural impacts in Lenovo’s strategy. The project was expected to help Lenovo management get an external perspective on their business strategy and utilize the learnings from the study in developing strategy for other markets.

Title – The GRIN of Veolia

Client – VEOLIA ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES, Global waste management & resource recovery company with 77,000 employees in 31 countries

Objective – Veolia received “Sustainability award” in 2011 from the Singapore Business Federation, for Veolia’s GRIN (Grow your Recycling Incentives Now!) program initiative in Singapore. Currently Veolia is facing severe competition challenges from local and international players for government contracts pertaining to waste collection and management. The project was expected to assist in developing of a sustainable strategy to keep GRIN a successful initiative and give Veolia a decisive competitive advantages in Singaporean market.

Analysis of strategy to promote digital piracy, undertaken by company “Games2Win” to capture the maximum value of profit pie created by discovery and tapping of new markets for its products.

Lenovo – Device as a Service
Evaluation of a Lenovo’s innovation processes and proposition of a new business model of selling devices as service to build sustainable cross platform screen size independent ecosystem of Lenovo powered devices

Android App Store – Where to invest a million dollar
Research report evaluating best possible returns from investing in development of Android App by understanding and analyzing the Android App Market statistics.

Indian Telecom Industry – The Deadlock of Policies and Politics
Research report on challenges faced by two international telecom companies operating in India due to change in government policies and conflicts in the ruling political alliance which lead to  losses of over 7 Billion USD.

Telecommunication & Digital Security

Developer Suite is telecom utility suite which provides for development and testing of applets on telecom cards. It also has simulation and debugger environments for mobile and NFC applications.

Universal Tracer is used to trace and interpret the communications between mobile handset and card, card reader and card simulators without any additional hardware using only a normal PC. It is used for development and debugging of applications involving all kinds of smart cards.

Subscription Management System, July 2009 – February 2010
A web based tool implementing two Gemalto patents for Remote Access and File Management .It provides for management of confidential network operator data and its’ interaction with the telecom cards remotely. The service is used currently by 258 users in 14 locations across the globe.

 Card Admin, Jan 2010 – Feb 2010 , July 2009 – August 2009
Card Admin offers a range of tools administrating the card whatever the telecommunication technology used: 2G, 3G, and CDMA. It provides all the necessary fundamentals for fully (Proprietary files, Proprietary commands etc) administrating any 2G and any 3G card (Gemalto & Competition).

Healthcare

Medical Circle India , April 2008 – May 2009
A web portal offering staffing solutions for health care industry by acting as meeting point for employers and employees. Medical tourism and equipment buyer/sellers are also able to interact among themselves. It was a part of the start-up venture called Medical Adda Solutions, a healthcare venture of the family holding company, Gamut Consultancy Services Private Limited.

Charak, Pediatrics Department, All India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS), Dec 07- Jan  09
Developed and deployed database software for management automation and clinical research. Our software is currently being used by resident doctors and interns of AIIMS and consultants on their panel.

Conceptualized and implemented  and deployed an integrated application suite comprising student life portal, knowledge management utilities, multimedia sharing mechanism and email system for NUS Business School using Google Apps platform as the back end.

Developed a flowchart creation aid and subsequent C code generation of the same to enable those new to programming understand the implementation of logic.

Developed and moderated the collaborative learning and information management system of JIITU which comprised notices, forums, communities, assignment submission, personal messaging and file transfer.
